Portable AC FAQs
Everything you need to know before renting.
Portable ACs pull warm air from the room, pass it over a refrigerant-cooled coil, and release cooled air back into the space. Warm exhaust air is vented outside through a window kit (included). They're self-contained — no permanent installation needed.
Every rental includes the portable AC unit, window venting kit, power cord, and professional delivery and setup by our team. We make sure the unit is running and you're comfortable before we leave. Pickup at the end of your rental is also included.
A general rule: 8,000 BTU handles rooms up to ~350 sq ft; 12,000 BTU covers up to ~550 sq ft; 14,000 BTU is ideal for large spaces up to ~700 sq ft. For open-plan areas or rooms with lots of windows, we recommend sizing up. Not sure? Call us and we'll help you pick!
Our Standard and Power Cool units run on a standard 110V/15A household outlet — no special wiring needed. The Max Cool (14,000 BTU) can run on 110V but operates at peak efficiency on a 220V outlet. If you're unsure, our team will advise during delivery.
Just make sure there's a window near the area you'd like cooled, and an accessible power outlet. We handle all the setup — window venting, positioning, and testing. Most installs take under 20 minutes.
The $50 flat fee covers delivery to your door, professional setup and installation, a full test run to make sure the unit is cooling correctly, and pickup at the end of your rental. This fee is automatically applied at checkout for all in-zone addresses — it is a required part of every rental, not an add-on. It is a one-time fee per rental and does not repeat on multi-week or monthly rentals. A refundable security deposit is also collected at the time of delivery and returned in full when we pick up the unit, provided it is in the same condition as delivered.
Our standard delivery zone covers 35 miles from Chandler 85225. If you're outside this area, give us a call — we may be able to accommodate extended delivery for an additional fee depending on your location.
Absolutely! Just call or text us before your rental end date and we'll extend it. Extensions are billed at the same daily or weekly rate. There's no penalty for extending — we just need at least 24 hours' notice to plan our schedule.
We stand behind our equipment. If a unit malfunctions during your rental, call us and we'll come out for a service visit or swap the unit — usually same day. Your comfort is our priority.
Cancellations made at least 24 hours before your scheduled delivery receive a full refund. Cancellations within 24 hours are subject to a 50% cancellation fee to cover scheduling. No-shows are non-refundable.
A refundable security deposit is collected at the time of delivery — before we leave your location. The deposit amount varies by unit size. It is returned in full at pickup, provided the unit is in the same condition it was in when delivered (normal wear and tear accepted). If damage is found, repair or replacement costs will be deducted from the deposit. Any amount exceeding the deposit may be billed separately.
Damage includes anything beyond normal wear and tear — such as cracked or broken housing, damaged controls or display panels, bent or punctured venting hoses, missing components (remote, window kit, power cord), water damage from improper use, or internal damage caused by running the unit without proper ventilation. Our team documents the unit's condition with photos at both delivery and pickup, so there's no ambiguity.
If damage occurs, we'll assess the repair or replacement cost and deduct it from your security deposit. You'll receive an itemized breakdown of any charges before your deposit is processed. We understand accidents happen — just let us know right away. Unreported damage discovered at pickup may result in higher charges, so transparency is always best. If damage costs exceed your deposit, we'll work with you on a fair resolution.
Yes — to protect your deposit and keep the unit running well: always keep the exhaust hose connected and vented outside; don't block the air intake or output vents; don't move the unit while it's running; avoid exposing it to rain or direct moisture; and don't attempt any repairs or modifications yourself. If something seems off, just call us — we'd rather come check it than have you risk damage or injury.
